You know those couples that are like literal fairy tale characters, that are constantly smiling, move perfectly together, look at each other like they are the last two people on earth, and spontaneously break into song when they are really feeling in love? Yeah, I don't either. Except that I do because that is Gina and Matt. I couldn't even believe I wasn't dreaming as Stephanie and I photographed their wedding day. I know that a wedding day is a time to celebrate LOVE -- which is the greatest force on earth, so of course every wedding day is important. However, I am overjoyed when a bride and groom can truly enjoy their wedding day, and I know that Gina and Matt did. I know that, not because of the reasons above (although they are amazing), but because of something a little more amazing -- and a bit more subtle. It is easy to get wrapped up in the hustle and bustle of a wedding day, but if you ever get to attend one, I suggest you watch the groom. Not just when he sees his bride for the first time dressed up, but the whole day. You will probably see a certain look in his eyes - a spark, a twinkle, or maybe even hearts and birds swirling around his head (well not literally, but I could almost see them). Matt looked at Gina not once, not twice, but ALL day like this. It really is one of the best parts of my job, because I get to watch that love and energy happen and capture it forever. <3
