Katie & Jay were married on May 29th in a daytime wedding - I loved being able to start the day early and take advantage of the beautiful light throughout the entire day! They mixed up the order of things too - they decided to photos after the reception was over!
The thing I noticed about Katie & Jay is their laughter - they are truly happy together and the humor in their relationship is just amazing! I am so happy I got to be a part of their day, and brought along Stephanie to join in on the fun!
This is the bride's grandmother's hanky - old, borrowed and blue! :)
The bride & groom were married at St. Marks Episcopal in Geneva, it is a beautiful little old church, with some gorgeous
window light opportunities! :)
Groom & ring pillow shots by Stephanie!
Afterwards, the reception was at Riverside Receptions in Geneva - one of my favorite venues, with
more great window light!!!
Someone made the bride and groom these whimsical wedding leis:
The bride's engagement ring had a sapphire as the center stone - this used to be the traditional
wedding stone, but diamonds replaced it in the 13th century (more detailed facts here) - I think it is just fabulous!
The DJ busted out a Hula Hoop contest! The groom was highly entertaining, if not highly skilled ;)
A bubble send off!
We trekked to the lovely Island Park with the bridal party after the wedding - everyone still looking so great!
And a few with just Katie & Jay to end the lovely day - congratulations!!!
