One of the best things as a photographer is to be trusted by your clients. That should go without saying, but not always do I say "let's do this" and I am met with a "that is a great idea, let's do it" - especially when it may involve a little dirt and a wedding dress ;) I am the first person to worry about keeping my brides clean, and completely understand why one would not want to go venturing through dirt and weeds on their wedding day (or maybe any day). However, if I have found beautiful light in a magical spot (aka high on a hill through thorny grass and muddy patches), then my old catchphrase "this will be worth it" comes out of my mouth followed by a slight cringe waiting the reply -- if its "I'd rather not", I am totally cool with that and can work around it but when its "Sure let's do it!" I get SUPER excited because I know that I am about to take some sweet pics. Rachael, if you didn't figure that out yet, was one of those gals who knew when to trust me. I loved photographing her, Jim and all of their friends too! Their day was very beautiful and fun and I know they will have many great adventures together in the future <3
